According to a report in the Times Of India, the screenings will take place at the Telugu film Chamber of Commerce at Filmnagar starting from September 16. It must be noted that Vetri Maaran's Tamil film Visaaranai was India's entry for the Oscars last year. The film, however, did not make it to the shortlist. Mother India, Salaam Bombay and Lagaan are some of the films that made it to the final round of the Oscars. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has the highest number of Oscar submissions from India.
