Actress Jyothilakshmi, well known in southern cinema for her negative roles and item numbers in the 70s, have passed away in Chennai today.
The 63 turned actress was undergoing treatment for blood cancer and has breathed her last at a hospital in the city.
Jyothilakshmi has made her debut as a child artist in T.R. Ramanna's Tamil film 'Periya Idathu Penn', and has went on to act in more than 300 films. She was last seen in the Tamil film "Trisha Illana Nayanthara".
