Though Vijay is one of the well established leading actor in the kollywood, his films will always be in some unnamed controveries.
He has his own fleet of fans and haters too. Some have spread the rumours that Vijay's upcoming film Kaththi's production house Lyca Productions is aided by the Srilankan President Rajapaksa.
As the srilankan president is suspected of killing thousands of Tamil people during the civil war in the country, the rumour about lyca has developed into a controversy and several student assoications has raised voices against the film.
Finally, the production house has cleared every rumours with suitable evidence during a press meet in chennai and it was cleared that there is no link between Rajapaksa and the Lyce group.
Meanwhile, the audio launch event of Kaththi has held yesterday at Leela Palace Hotel in chennai and it was fully secured with police protection as some pro-Tamil groups have staged protest outside the venue.
Several, young heroes including Arya, Sibiraj has attended the event and there was no special guest except the cast and the crew of the film.
Talking at the event vijay has quoted “Everybody knows the kind of trouble we underwent during the making of the film. I don’t give credence to rumours and kept silent and will keep my silence forever. I don’t want to talk much, as Kaththi will do all the talking. It has come out really well.”
He added that "He may not be a Thyagi (martyr), but certainly not a Drohi (traitor)".
